Consumer Advisory – Deferred Action for Immigrant Youth

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) issued a Consumer Advisory related to the June 15, 2012 DHS announcement that certain young people who entered the U.S. before the age of 16 will not be removed from the United States.

If you believe you are eligible for deferred action but you are not currently in removal proceedings you cannot apply for deferred action at this time. The government will finalize an application process within 60 days.
